Debra is a deeply caring and non-judgmental counsellor, who uses an integrative, collaborative,, and relational based approach to therapy. As a practitioner, her approach is to hold a safe and supportive space, while identify and build upon client strengths, and by discussing client concerns. Debra will be validating, yet able to challenge some unhelpful automatic thoughts and patterns that negatively impact your mental wellness. Together we can identify your goals and unhelpful patterns, while exploring tools, and other grounding skills to help create the change you want. Debra has lived experience in the area of trauma. This path has inspired Debra’s passion to walk beside the people she has worked with, to be a part of their healing process, and to foster hope that recovery is possible. Debra also uses humor when suitable in sessions, as a way to connect and reduce tension.
